Tell us what you'd like and we'll confirm availability and your total before you pay anything.

Nothing is charged now, and nothing is reserved yet This is a request, not a purchase. We will email you within 24 hours with what we can actually fill, your total, and a pickup date, and payment details come with that email. Your order is held once the payment lands. Day-old chicks go home at one to three days old, or we can grow them on for you to one to three weeks. The ducks and the laying hens are not for sale, their eggs only. Duck eggs are sold by the half dozen, because we only have two duck hens. Pickup is at the Boulder County Fairgrounds in Longmont, or the Natural Grocers parking lot on North Main Street in Longmont. We do not ship and we do not do farm pickup.

Eggs are seasonal, spring through fall

We let our birds go dormant over the winter and stop laying, because that is what their bodies are asking to do and we would rather give them the rest. Laying picks back up in the spring. Order over the winter and we will put you on the list for the new season rather than promise you eggs we do not have.

If you reserve birds, please read this first

We do not hold birds for free. If you cannot collect within three days of asking for them, you can reserve them with a deposit of half the price. Here is how that works, in short: the deposit is not refundable, it comes off your balance at pickup, and birds still here after your pickup date board at $3 per bird, per week.

We do not offer free holds on birds. This covers any bird you have reserved with us, including chicks we have hatched or grown on for you.

If you are unable to pick up your birds right away, you may place a 50% non-refundable deposit to reserve them. The deposit comes off your final balance when you collect.

Deposits are only accepted if you cannot pick up your birds within 3 days of requesting them. If you can collect inside three days, just come and get them, no deposit needed.
Birds that remain in our care after being reserved will incur a $3 boarding fee per bird, per week, added to your bill at pickup.
This boarding fee helps cover the cost of feed, housing, care, and other resources while your birds remain on our homestead.
If the birds are not claimed within 1 week of the scheduled pickup date and we do not hear from you, the deposit and the bird will be kept, and the bird goes back on as available. If you do contact us and need to delay another week, that is fine, the $3 per bird boarding fee simply keeps running and is added to the final bill at pickup.

We appreciate your understanding and ask that you only reserve birds when you are ready to commit to purchasing them. Thank you for supporting our homestead.
